Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. achieve EcoVadis Gold Recognition

Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. have been awarded Gold recognition level by leading sustainability platform, EcoVadis. This was achieved with a score of 77%. The previous score was 78%.

Thomas Swan not only came out in the top 2% of companies in the same category but they scored impressively in the following areas:

• Environment – top 1%
• Labour & Human Rights – top 12%
• Ethics – top 27%
• Sustainable Procurement – top 4%

Although dropping 1% from the previous score means losing platinum status, GOLD is still an excellent result for a medium-sized company and puts them on a par with, or even ahead of, some of the world’s largest chemical companies.

Harry Swan, who is the Owner and CEO said: “This is still an excellent result from EcoVadis as it demonstrates that the accreditation isn’t easy to obtain, making high scores even more valuable when achieved. On our constantly evolving sustainability journey, we are always looking for things to address or improve and we now have some excellent targets on which to focus as we look to retain our Platinum status next year.”
